Ornamental trees in your garden or lawn are always great. Plus, if you’re into greeneries, it’s time to show others that it’s not only interior which should be designed, but also exterior. Designing and modelling exterior, like garden, needs much more concern than interior design. Because you don’t need paint or expensive furniture pieces to make your garden look inviting and interesting. You should purely rely on the design rather than additional things like decorations. Here are some ideas you can choose to apply.
Plants can work perfectly in conjunction with walls and fences to make it look taller than it is. You can do this design with small ornamental trees with large shrubs. In order to screen your small space, you need to place them carefully. For the plant choices, you can go with Japanese maple, cornelian cherry, serviceberry, viburnum, and lilac. You can create and eclectic shaded backyard as a landscape. Another idea, may be you want to consider having boxwood hedge which can give you two benefits; as an architecture spot in your garden and green guardrail. You can create this guardrail along the path in your garden, from the gate to the front door.
Building a lower area along with some small steps from the ground to access it is also a nice idea for smaller garden. With this idea, you don’t have to put more boundaries from your garden to other floored areas outside your house. Create a garden in the lower area stated before. This, small ornamental tree with white flowers will catch your eyes. Make white is a combined color with green leaves. To add more shades, you can add some trees which have deep red leaves. This will make a balance and eye catching look, even though you don’t have a large area to show your tree collections.
Providing a shading in your garden will give you some kind of privacy you need. It’s recommended to have if you own an open space for house with little or no fence at all. Palm trees can be a good choice if you’re not really into a small ornamental tree for shade. Oak tree is even better, because it will deliver perfect shading. However, if you think small ornamental trees are the best, you can go for dwarf evergreen trees for the center of your landscaping. Don’t forget to add some seats below, so it will not only as a privacy, but also for your lazy time.
